Copyright safe harbour laws were introduced in 2018 which may apply to online services provided by library and archives.
The new laws were introduced by the Copyright Amendment (Service Providers) Act 2018. They provide protection for cultural, education and disability institutions where they are providing online services that clients might use to infringe copyright, such as public access computers or digital hubs.
