Associations and institutions are welcome to apply to become members of the ALCC.
We are pleased to announce we will be running our next copyright training session at the State library of Victoria on 18 April.
As per usual this training aims to arm librarians and archivists with the knowledge and skills to tackle copyright in their institutions. Whether you’re a copyright beginner or looking for the latest updates, from document delivery to open access we cover it all and take questions from the floor.
In a new variation, as well as the usual Copyright Essentials and Copyright Extended training sessions, the day will also include a bonus Hot Topics panel, where local experts will update us on the latest in copyright law in Australia and around the world, including open access, Google books and the Copyright Amendments (Disability Accessibility and Other Measures) Bill.
All sessions are free for ALCC member organisations and their employees – so if you or your institution are a member of ALIA, NSLA, CAUL, AGLIN, CAARA, ASLA or ASA, the only cost is your time. But anyone with an interest in copyright for the cultural sector is welcome to come for a small fee.
